NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina launched aboard Soyuz MS-29 on July 14, 2026, from Baikonur Cosmodrome and docked with the International Space Station three hours and two orbits later at the Prichal module. The arrival brought the station's crew to 10 people and marked the beginning of Menon's stay conducting scientific research focused on advancing human spaceflight capabilities and Earth-based applications.
Menon will lead work on semiconductor crystal production in microgravity for high-performance computing and medical devices, perform ultrasound procedures using augmented reality and AI, serve as a test subject for blood flow studies in space, and test bioprinting vascular constructs to better understand aging. The crew change comes ahead of Expedition 75, which begins July 26 when three crew members depart after an eight-month mission.
