What is Field Day?
ARRL Field Day (the fourth full weekend of June) is part contest, part emergency-comms exercise, and part open house: stations set up in the field — often on emergency or portable power — and work as many contacts as they can in 24 hours. Satellite contacts are worth bonus points, which is where these tools come in.

For FM voice (wide-band), your radio will often capture the signal across the full Doppler swing. For SSB/CW linear transponders, you must manually tune 6.6 kHz across the pass.
