SpaceX launched two Falcon 9 missions within eight hours on July 13-14, deploying 56 Starlink satellites across two orbital planes from Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral. The second flight marked the 600th launch of a flight-proven Falcon 9 booster, a measure of SpaceX's reusable rocket cadence. Both missions recovered their first stages successfully, with booster B1080 completing its 28th flight and B1093 reaching its 15th.
The launches added 56 satellites to SpaceX's operational constellation, bringing the total active Starlink count to 10,839 according to tracking data. SpaceX has now flown 83 Falcon 9 missions in 2024 to date. The reuse record for a single Falcon 9 first stage remains 36 flights.
